I’m Maria! My journey in hair started after I had graduated college in 2020. I had always been drawn to cosmetology, and at that time I was working in makeup retail. Growing up, I was raised in my mom and grandmother’s flower shop, so small business was comfortable to me. After working in different kinds of sales positions, I knew I wanted a more creative job where I could interact with people in a more connected kind of way. I began to think about my hairstylist I had growing up, and felt completely inspired. So when I graduated from NKU, I started at Paul Mitchell! After cosmetology school, I joined the team at Assembly in August of 2021, which still feels totally fated. Assembly has been a gift to me. Our team is value driven, with authenticity, accountability, and education at its core. My experience here has made me grow in ways both professionally and personally that I will always be eternally grateful for! Outside of the salon, you can find me bouncing to different restaurants in Cincy or reading a book!
