Assembly came from the desire to do things differently: to go back to the basics, be better, and change the relationship people have with their hair. It's comfortable, collaborative, and above all else, human. It's where people go to be put first.

Founder Emily Witko spent years behind the chair in Cincinnati salons, chasing advanced education across the country, from color theory to the science of the hair strand itself, because she believed clients and stylists alike deserved better than the industry norm. In January 2020, that vision became a Hyde Park salon built to set a new standard for both.

Our mission is to create a haven where guests feel safe and exceptionally well cared for. We lead with clear communication and transparency, and we carry that same commitment into teaching our clients how to maintain their hair beautifully at home. Ultimate guest care sits at the heart of everything we do, and we invest in ongoing education, mastering the rules of hair and color so the artistry behind every service is intentional, never accidental.

As individuals behind the chair, we collaborate and communicate openly to guide each guest to the right stylist for them. We're part of a movement to reshape how people see hairstylists and salons, earning trust through work we're proud of, one guest at a time.
