I’m Maria! My journey in hair started after I had graduated college in 2020. I had always been drawn to cosmetology, and at that time I was working in makeup retail. Growing up, I was raised in my mom and grandmother’s flower shop, so small business was comfortable to me. After working in different kinds of sales positions, I knew I wanted a more creative job where I could interact with people in a more connected kind of way. I began to think about my hairstylist I had growing up, and felt completely inspired. So when I graduated from NKU, I started at Paul Mitchell! After cosmetology school, I joined the team at Assembly in August of 2021, which still feels totally fated. Assembly has been a gift to me. Our team is value driven, with authenticity, accountability, and education at its core. My experience here has made me grow in ways both professionally and personally that I will always be eternally grateful for! Outside of the salon, you can find me bouncing to different restaurants in Cincy or reading a book!
Claire Bonanno
When I first got into this industry, hair cutting was my first passion. As I’ve come to understand the world of hair color, I have a particular interest in dimensional brunettes, coppers, and blonding services. The more I learn the more I have discovered my passion for enhancing the beauty we already have. To me that is what this industry is all about- feeling good in our skin first and having fun with our hair second. My goal is to make people feel safe and heard in my chair. I’ve always been energized and fueled by people. Each one of us has a story. We are all made up of so many thoughts, experiences, relationships and so on. I love that I have a unique position to truly get to know each person in my chair. It’s what makes this job for me. Outside of hair I am a huge foodie, I love to move and exercise in any way I can and enjoy finding the next movie, podcast or book. It’s fun to discover new ways of how I can better stretch my mind and connect with people. I’m a firm believer that we are never done learning. It keeps life interesting. Overall, I feel blessed to do something everyday that I am so passionate about that also incorporates what I love about life. Which is people and the experiences we share together. I hope to see you in the salon or in my chair!
