I’m Maria! My journey in hair started after I had graduated college in 2020. I had always been drawn to cosmetology, and at that time I was working in makeup retail. Growing up, I was raised in my mom and grandmother’s flower shop, so small business was comfortable to me. After working in different kinds of sales positions, I knew I wanted a more creative job where I could interact with people in a more connected kind of way. I began to think about my hairstylist I had growing up, and felt completely inspired. So when I graduated from NKU, I started at Paul Mitchell! After cosmetology school, I joined the team at Assembly in August of 2021, which still feels totally fated. Assembly has been a gift to me. Our team is value driven, with authenticity, accountability, and education at its core. My experience here has made me grow in ways both professionally and personally that I will always be eternally grateful for! Outside of the salon, you can find me bouncing to different restaurants in Cincy or reading a book!
Emily Witko
Hey! I’m Emily Witko of Assembly Hair + Beauty Bar salon in Cincinnati, Ohio. I have over 10 years’ experience behind the chair as a licensed cosmetologist. I am committed to a technical understanding of various chemicals and coloring agents used on the hair to achieve the best results, minimize damage, and promote healthy hair. With the ultimate goal to continue to grow and learn for the rest of my career.
I have traveled extensively for advanced education in the beauty industry including training at Sassoon’s in Santa Monica which now feels like was a chance of a lifetime. I have enjoyed every single step of my continued education and always leave wanting to know more and excited to bring more value to the guest in my chair.
Along with growing myself behind the chair, helping to develop the hair stylists here and focusing on their success is a core to my leadership at Assembly. Training, coaching, and marketing Assembly’s top group of stylists is the best way to provide the utmost service to all guests. A shared professional purpose focused on client satisfaction has brought us all together to create a beautiful place to create lots of special moments. Hope to see you soon at Assembly!
